Bio & Press

El Toro Landscape was founded in 1997 by Charles Doerwald.  Charles was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, (BA-English), and pursued a  Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture at The University of New Mexico.

El Toro was awarded an AIA Citation of Merit Award in 2011 for landscape renovations at The Lannan Foundation.  El Toro is committed to providing exceptional service to it’s clientele and associates.  El Toro is an annual sponsor of Santa Fe Friends of Architecture lecture series, a corporate sponsor of The Santa Fe Botanical Garden and participates regularly in various volunteer programs through Santa Fe Public Schools.
